Hello Neighbors, A group of neighbors from Highland Park and some surrounding neighborhoods is working with the Pittsburgh Police Department to negotiate hours of use at the shooting range. Thank you volunteers! The email below from Zone 5's Commander Vinansky outlines the schedule agreed to through Sept 1. Greetings Everyone, The schedule for officers having firearms training on the shooting range is as follows: July 27 through Sept 1 Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 4:00 PM. Fridays will be 10:00 AM only. Each shooting session should be approximately two hours long. We do have an engineer looking at the shooting range to make some upgrades, and also examining how to reduce noise levels, I will provide more information at a later time. I thank all of you for your patience as we look to address the issues of the firearms training range. Commander Fisher is included in this email, and will be helping me to provide updated information. Respectfully, Commander Stephen Vinansky Zone 5 Pittsburgh Bureau of Police 1401 Washington Boulevard Pittsburgh, PA 15206 stephen.vinansky@pittsburghpa.gov 412-665-3605 *WARNING: This communication with its contents may contain confidential and/or legally privileged information.
