Highland Park neighbors, I am hoping to find someone who has experience with, or advice for, finding a salvage front door (with surrounding sidelights and transom window) that are characteristic of many of the homes in Highland Park. At some point in its history, I believe my home was split into two units, and they replaced the original entrance with two smaller doors. Then it was converted back to a single family, and they reversed the two entrances back to one - with, unfortunately, the large piece of wood that you see in the first attached picture. The second picture displays my neighbor's gorgeous original (and recently restored) entrance. This is what I hope to find, but I haven't been successful browsing any of the local sources or architectural salvage stores online. The closest so far was a door at Construction Junction, but the unit was 10 inches too wide. Has anyone walked in these shoes? I'd really appreciate any advice you have or keywords that may help narrow my search. Thank you! Ben
