For parents of high school students, I want to share the name of a wonderfully effective SAT prep company and tutor. Pittsburgh Prep. My daughter, Chelsea, went through Pittsburgh Prep's program and her SAT scores improved over 400 points. Many of her friends also went through the program and had similar results with an average gain of 260+ points. Along with the kids' hard work, I give much credit to Hoon Kim, Founder of Pittsburgh Prep ("PP"), as he is one of the most passionate, committed individuals I have had the pleasure to meet. Hoon is former Master Tutor at Princeton and Kaplan that started PP 2 years ago in my building (134 S. Highland Avenue, Pittsburgh 15206). PP has worked with students from many different high schools (Oakland Catholic, Ellis, Shady Side, Central Catholic, Quaker Valley, etc.). I believe the next SAT class starts the first of August.
