But I did provide as much information as I could below. I have heard from the farmers that the Saturday before Memorial Day is one of the busiest days of the year. So please stop by and support the farmers. *********************************************************************************************** The Update Greenawalt Farm I did not get to talk to Brian, but expect that Greenawalts will similar items as last week- locally grown asparagus, rhubarb, green onions and chives. In the plant department they will have potted plants for the house, and a variety of transplants for the garden.In addition they will have locally grown eggs and their normal selection of Amish made products. KENNEDY MEAT STAND Special items for this week include: KOLBASSI GRILLER LINKS IN REGULAR OR HOT PEPPER CHEESE BUTCHER-MADE HOT DOGS IN REGULAR OR CHEESE SEMI-BONELESS LAMB LEGS LAMB LOIN RACK ROASTS OR CHOPS FROZEN STEAK BURGER PATTIES FROZEN GRASS- FED GROUND BEEF, EYE OF ROUND, CHUCK ROAST **any beef or pork items special cut for your grill like bone- in rib eye steaks...pork chops.. pork tenderloin...split fryers.. etc. ** please let us know early by thursday so we can best plan for your needs Phone hours are mon- thurs 9-9 and 9-6 pm on friday. Zang's Greenhouse... Locally grown itmes this week include asparagus, spincah, micro greens, green onions and lettuce. RICK WILL ALSO HAVE FRESH LOCALLY GROWN STRAWBERRIES! The Greek Gourmet- will have homemade spinach and meat pies to the market each week- in addition to 20+ flavors of hummus. PA Made Cheese- Thanks to my brother-in-law. He stopped by the Otterbein Acres Sheep Farm and Dairy and picked up 6 wheels of the "Ewe's Dream" Pecorino Romana. This is a very flavorful cheese thart can be used for grating on pasta or jus eating. We also have fresh shipments from Riverview Dairy (Goat milk cheese) and Common Folk Organics Blue cheese and mushroom. Fresch curds from Arsenal cheese will also be available.
