Neighbors: Sometime in the early hours of Saturday morning someone pried open a casement window in our breakfast room which is in the back of the house and gained entry. They took a flat screen TV and exited out the sliding door. Window, door and the back yard gate were wide open when we woke up around 6:30 am. The really scary part......we were in our bedroom, sound asleep with the window air conditioner running and the bedroom door closed while they were in our home. We heard nothing. Kudos to Pittsburgh Police for their quick response to my 911 call and for their professionalism. Two officers came within an hour to take a report. The next morning a policemen came and dusted for fingerprints. With the hot weather we've been experiencing lately, this is a reminder to check/double check to make sure your windows and doors are closed and securely locked before retiring for the night. We feel very lucky that nothing of greater value was taken and that we were not hurt. And yes, we have a dog. He was in the bedroom with us sleeping in air conditioned comfort. Marcie McGuire
