[Highland Park] Youth Program accepting applications
Hello neighbors! If anyone knows of or works with youth that may be interested in social change and community action planning, see writeup below!! This is a great opportunity for teens! The Three Rivers Community Foundation is recruiting high school youth to serve as board members this Spring for their Teens 4 Change (T4C) program. The goal of T4C is to empower youth ages 14-18 to be active leaders in their community. Fifteen youth will be selected to act as a “board of directors” to learn about, create, and conduct an entire grant cycle from start to finish and then share what they have learned as grant-makers and philanthropists with their communities. This program was inspired by The Fund for Santa Barbara’s Youth Making Change program. The Fund for Santa Barbara is a sister fund in the Funding Exchange, a network of progressive foundations. *Applications are due by November 4th , 2011*. Send completed applications to youth@trcfwpa.org. Questions about the program can be sent to Willa Paterson at wpaterson@trcfwpa.org or call412-243-9250 <412-243-9250>
