Have you been wanting to get involved in Highland Park community but didn't know how? Maybe you weren't sure what you could do or how much time you could give. GOOD NEWS! There are several volunteer opportunities opening up this spring. The Highland Park Community Council has several events lined up and we are looking for people willing to give us a hand. Whether you want to give and hour or take on an event, or help on an as needed basis, there is a spot for you. Upcoming events include: 1)Spring childrens event 2) the Bryant Street Festival for which we need help with set up, clean up, advertising, lining up artists and more. 3) Marathon activities 4)Yard Sale - we are looking for a new organizer. The prior chairperson will be available to talk to you about prior years experiences. 5)Reservoir of Jazz - helping out as needed on a weekly basis in August. Come to the next HPCC meeting Thursday February 19th at 7:00 pm at St Andrew's church to learn more or ask questions. OR reply to this email and I will be glad to give more info.
