[Highland Park] Ceramic Pumpkin Carving this weekend at Union Project
*Ceramic Pumpkin Carving **Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, drop in anytime from 12-3 pm **Cost: $25/Small Pumpkin or $40/Large Pumpkin* Carve your very own ceramic pumpkin this weekend! Hollow clay pumpkin forms are individually hand-made by a member of the Union Project Ceramics Co-op, for you to come and carve - just like a real pumpkin! They will be in the "leather-hard" state - firm to the touch, yet soft enough to be carved with a knife. After being carved, the pumpkin will be dried and fired in our kiln to almost 2000 degrees. When you pick it up a week later, it will be a permanent jack-o-lantern, safe for inside and outside use. You can choose from small or large hollow pumpkin forms. Pre register for your pumpkin online<http://www.unionproject.org/classes/pumpkin-carving-workshop?key=Pumpkin%20Carving%20Workshop&code=#13C410A>, or just drop in on Saturday or Sunday. If you have questions, please contact Jenna Vanden Brink<jenna@unionproject.org?subject=Ceramics%20class> (412.363.4550 x222). -- Michelle Clesse Communications and Development Manager Union Project 801 N.
