Highland Park Community Healing Research
Hello there, My name is Jaclyn Psenka. I am a doctoral student researcher at The Chicago School seeking participants for my dissertation study exploring how the Highland Park community continuously heals after gun violence on July 4th, 2022. This research has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of The Chicago School, IRB-FY24-177. I am looking for participants between the ages of 12 and 70 who feel they are part of the Highland Park community and have experienced or contributed to positive change after July 4th, 2022. The purpose of this study is to listen to your process of healing with others to help inform other communities of different features that can support resilience. If you or anyone else you may know is interested, please see the attached recruitment flyer. Feel free to contact me via email or phone if you have further questions or concerns. Thank you so much for your consideration. Sincerely, Jaclyn Psenka, MA (she/her) Clinical Psychology Doctoral Candidate The Chicago School of Professional Psychology 325 N.
