On April 20th, the park will be getting *78 new trees* in the northwest corner! They are being planted in Memorial Grove and Bigelow Grove, and around the parking loop across the road from Bigelow Grove. You may have seen the little white flags where the trees will go, and now there are workers out there preparing the sites. I only had a brief conversation with the workers. They don't know what types of trees are going in and unfortunately I don't know any other details, but I thought I'd share the good news. What a great way to mark Earth Day! Stephanie
