Writer available for editing and/or writing coaching. My strengths are academic, but I also have experience with journalistic, legal, creative, and business writing. I can edit, proofread, or structure/restructure academic (or non-academic) writing of any length or level, whether a thesis/dissertation, research proposal, potential journal article, personal statement, research essay, or anything else. I'm especially strong in the humanities, literary criticism, and social sciences, but I have experience writing and editing summaries of graduate and post-doctoral research in biology and chemistry. I have tutored middle school and undergraduate students in writing to help them develop strong thesis statements, well-structured and evidence-based arguments, and clear and concise prose. Comfortable formatting and managing citations in MLA, Chicago, and APA style. Can work via email or meet at a coffee shop to discuss your work in person. I'm a native English speaker, but I enjoy and have experience editing the writing of non-native English speakers. Writing samples and references available upon request.
