Contacting the PA PUC re Peoples gas line work in winter
Hi, Neighbors, On Thursday I contacted the Pennsylvania PUC (Public Utility Commission) with my concerns about Peoples doing gas line upgrades in winter and got a very good response from them. An investigator called me back and got all my information within a couple of hours of my initial call. They are opening a case about this and will contact Peoples to get more info about why they are doing this gas line work now when it is winter and the problems this might cause. Peoples has 30 days to respond, and the PUC can’t just tell them to stop regardless, but it sounds like they will be looking into this pretty thoroughly. The investigator said it can be helpful if more people concerned about this, call the PPUC hotline number 800-692-7380, where you can also open a case I believe. The hotline number asks that you first call the company you are having problems with to try to resolve your concerns so here again is the Peoples customer service number. 800-764-011.
