[Highland Park] Want to help Haiti?
Hello! PULSE is collecting items for Haiti on Wednesday, February 10th from 1-9pm at the PULSE House - East Liberty/Highland Park (5615 Stanton Ave, Pgh, PA 15206). Please check out the flyer below for more information. Feel free to share with any people that you feel might want to join this East End collection effort. PULSE (Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience) and the Mennonite Central Commmittee's (MCC) Mission & Service Commission invites you to participate: MCC is asking for donations of 20,000 relief kits as part of its response to the Haiti earthquake. Relief kits provide valuable supplies to families traumatized by war and disasters. In recent years, kits have been sent to Iraq, Gaza, Bosnia, Serbia, Nepal, Mozambique, and other countries. PULSE —located in East Liberty/Highland Park - will collect all items on: Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 from 1-9 pm. Please drop them off at the PULSE House 5615 Stanton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 ITEMS TO DONATE (NEW items only) * large bars bath soap (leave in wrapping) * plastic bottle shampoo (380-710ml / 13-24oz; place bottle in a re-sealable plastic bag) * large bars of laundry soap (Some stores carry Fels Naptha, Sunlight or Zote brands) * squeeze-tube toothpaste (minimum 130ml / 6oz; leave in box) * adult-size toothbrushes (leave in packaging) * new bath towels (medium weight, dark or bright colors) * wide-tooth combs(6 to 8in / 15 to 20cm) * fingernail clipper * box adhesive bandages (minimum 40, assorted) * package sanitary pads (18-24 thin maxi) * sheets * comforters PULSE Developing young urban leaders to transform Pittsburgh www.pulsepittsburgh.org Mennonite Central Committee www.mcc.org Questions about any of this?
