[Highland Park] PRC needs volunteers May 12
Hello! Would you mind including this on your next Highland Park email? Thank you!!! Ginette Vinski Volunteers needed for recycling event The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) is launching its 2007 series of "hard to recycle" collections on Saturday, May 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We need the help of volunteers to make it happen! Volunteers are needed from 9:15am until 2:30pm. Depending on your schedule, you could do a morning shift, afternoon shift, or all day. NEW THIS YEAR: the event will take place at Appliance Warehouse (523 Bingham Street, Pittsburgh, 15203). We'll need help unloading material from vehicles and directing traffic. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of Whole Foods Market. Everyone who volunteers will receive a coupon for one free hour of kayaking courtesy of Kayak Pittsburgh! Please note that we are changing things around this year and are collecting only major appliances (e.g refrigerators and A/Cs), cell phones, tires, and ink cartridges. We will also be taking scrap metal but have very strict guidelines as to what's acceptable-please call Ginette Vinski at PRC for more details. All materials will be refurbished, recycled, or safely disposed of. There is a small fee to drop off tires; everything else is free to drop off. Consider spending a couple hours with us in the sunshine! We appreciate your help!! For more information call Ginette at (412) 488-7490 x243. Visit <http://www.prc.org/> www.prc.org for details on the collections.
