Dear Neighbors, We are new to the neighborhood, having just completed a large renovation on the house that we purchased in the fall. Since we have a toddler, I bought some lead paint/dust tests to make sure the house was safe. To my horror, there was lead dust in a number of areas. I know that everything will have to be cleaned (I just purchased a special hepa vac with attachments) and wiped down, but we don't have time to do this. Does anyone know of any companies or cleaners who specialize in this type of cleaning? Has anyone else had this terrible problem? The house is huge and there is furniture and boxes throughout the house (which makes cleaning up even more difficult). I plan to hire an expert to test the entire house before we move in with our child (any recommendations?). Also, we will likely need to rent short term, furnished housing for about a month beginning July 9. Any info on something in/close to Highland Park or Shadyside would be greatly appreciated!
