[Highland Park] nonresponsive Maids in the City from Living Social Deals?
Hello neighbors, I was having dinner with some friends last night, and we spent a fair amount of time bemoaning the dust bunnies and dirt caches that plague our otherwise tidy homes. This led us to the realization that we had all purchased a complete housecleaning session from Maids in the City via Living Social Deals, for the agreeable price of $65. Unfortunately, we also all realized that Maids in the City had failed to respond to multiple emails and phone calls made by each of us in attempts to schedule the already purchased service. Besides evidencing an unprofessional and unethical business approach, the situation is increasingly seeming like a blatant scam. Did anyone else purchase this Living Social Deal from Maids in the City, and have a similar outcome? I plan to submit a reimbursement request and file it to Living Social...at this point, I don't really have enough trust in Maids in the City to allow them enter the intimacy of my home, even to eradicate the vicious dust bunnies.
