ACTION REQUESTED: Advocate for Transparent and Inclusive PPS Leadership Transitions
Good Morning, This is very time sensitive. Jill Greetings, As you may know, the current PPS superintendent, Dr. Anthony Hamlet, is expected to resign effective October 1, 2021. On September 29, 2021, the school board will announce an interim superintendent and begin a national search for a new superintendent, presumably starting in early 2022. As community stakeholders, we believe it is important for us to have a say in this important process. Here's how you can get involved: 1. Signatures received by* noon on Friday, September 24th* will be included on the letter to the board. 2. Please Bcc blackwomenforabettereducation@gmail.com so we can keep track of how many letters are sent. 3. Sign up to testify <https://www.pghschools.org/Page/4043> at the PPS public hearing.
