[Highland Park] Fwd: G-20 Safety Website
Community Leaders: A website which will serve as the City’s official information for all traffic and safety information leading up to G-20 has been announced. Please go to www.g20safety.org and sign up now to receive emergency and general information text and email alerts. As the City makes important decisions that will affect you, such as permitted protest marches that may touch your neighborhood streets, we want to make sure that you are in the know. As a heads-up, early next week we will be releasing the City’s G-20 traffic and transportation plan. All relevant information regarding this plan including parking restrictions, traffic detours, and road closures will be posted on this site. It is our goal to give you all of the information in an easy-to-understand fashion. We will have maps to serve as guidance and will announce a special G-20 311 information hotline that will be up and running before and during the summit to handle all of your concerns regarding traffic and the like. Our public safety efforts are well underway and Public Safety Director Michael Huss feels very confident that we will have a safe event. Please continue to contact me with any issues and concerns.
