[Highland Park] Volunteer musicians wanted
Volunteer Musicians wanted: We are a friendship-based social group who rehearses and performs for the teamwork, camaraderie and joy of music, not for money. We are a very small semi-professional choral group, who sings in nursing homes, shelters, and other venues, etc. We can offer free vocal coaching and free training in sight-singing for anyone interested. We're still in search of the elusive tenor! Why are they so hard to find? How about even a baritone willing to push your limits? We could also use a second soprano since Kathy, who had sung with us for ten years, sadly passed away this year. An accompanist would also be nice, but not as important as singers. A small stipend may be possible for the accompanist on occasion, but for tax, copyright, and philosophical reasons, we prefer a volunteer. Check out our website: www.friendsinharmony.net A car or ride is necessary, and you must be able to sing or learn to sing in the classical style. We rehearse Monday evenings in Squirrel Hill, September through June.; sometines Fridays in Highland Park over the summer. Contact me at 412-215-9631 to arrange for an audition.
