ISO loving home for sweet, attentive kitty, approx 3 yrs old.
Good morning everyone. I unfortunately must give up one of my kitties (I could easily return her to the Animal Rescue League social cat room, but she's too good and sweet to be returned to that setting) because I am having the first of up to five surgeries on my left foot to cure osteomyelitis and removal of previously placed hardware by another surgeon. I cannot care for two cats who love to sleep on my bed, have an evening hair appointment as per their time clock for brushing, and one is OCD about their litter boxes. I will not be working and cannot afford to feed and keep up with the cost of the top of the line Seal & Clump litter and their need for attention and strong desire for grooming. I must give up the one I had the least, about six months now. She submitted to my first cat, both spade females, both from Animal Rescue League. Sabrina is a sweet, short haired, black cat with a little white pearl necklace I call it because of a stripe of white around the front of her neck. She loves attention but doesnt like to be picked up and held. She definitely comes to you for attention. She loves being brushed daily, as mentioned above, and actually knows that each evening around 8 pm, along with my other kitty, that its time to line up in my bedroom on the area rug to be brushed. She loves to sit at the window and watch the outdoors. I believe she must have been an outdoor cat before I adopted her because she has a strong desire to go outside, but being that she isnt familiar with our neighborhood and I am very afraid of losing her or having her get hurt, I do not let her out. She would probably be great rodent control for the neighborhood, however. She loves cat nip mouse toys and carries her's everywhere like a safety blanket. I really do not want to take her back to the ARL because she deserves better, but I will not be able to put weight on my left foot for up to 6 months or so, which does not allow me to care for both cats. A friend volunteered to care for the cat duty, but he is already volunteering for other responsibilities, so I want to lighten his load. If you have any questions or a very SERIOUS desire to adopt Sabrina, please email me. Thank you all. Enjoy your day. Deborah S
