Erynn Marshall is returning to Pittsburgh for a concert with a new band, The Haints with haunting, toe-tapping tunes and songs from Appalachia. Join us to hear Erynn share the fruits of her years of researching and collecting old-time Appalachian tunes and songs. She will be touring with two fine musicians from Canada, Jason and Pharis Romero backing her fine fiddling up with guitar, banjo and vocals. Collectively known as "The Haints" (an old word for "spirits"), this band will send shivers up your spine with their authentic and fresh interpretations of traditional Appalachian music. Cindy is a superb singer, guitarist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Grey is one of America's finest players of the Irish flute and tin whistle, as well as an accomplished singer and concertina, fiddle, piano and harmonium player. The duo's repertoire includes Cindy's sparkling original songs, distinctive settings of traditional Irish music, Scandinavian fiddle duets, old-time fiddle and guitar tunes from southern Indiana, and new music that Cindy and Grey are inventing together.
