I found a three-year-old female black and white pit bull mix running down the middle of Highland Avenue this afternoon. She had no collar or tags, but when I took her to the Animal Rescue League on Hamilton, they scanned her and she had been microchipped when she was adopted from them as a puppy. She was very sweet and submissive, thirsty but not hungry, and very strong! The folks at the Animal Rescue League are trying to get in touch with the owner based upon the contact information given at the time of adoption, but at least initially did not get an answer. So, if you're out there on the list but have changed contact info, your very nice dog is waiting for you to come pick her up at the Animal Rescue League.
