Jeff here from Home PC Repairs. I've been reading about a new threat, called ransom ware. It is not a virus per se., rather it encrypts all your files on your hard drive making it impossible to recover them without paying the "ransom" to get the unlock key. As of right now, the only way to guarantee your data safety is to back it up to external media or to cloud storage. If you have any questions, contact me. As always I provide support for all pc's. ​
