Highland Park Neighbors, Please be considerate of the large number of children in the neighborhood and slow down, and please stop for the stop signs. At Dilworth (6200 Stanton) we have a problem: cars speed down Stanton and Heberton and don't stop for our little ones to cross (at the cross walks!) at Dilworth going to and from school. And it isn't just people using HP as a cut-though- We all see fellow neighbors flying down the street and rolling through stops.... In the past week we almost had a grandmother and grandchild hit while crossing. I know parents at Dilworth would love to see a stop sign on Stanton at Collins or Sheridan (and Sheridan/Heberton is a dangerous blind intersection while traveling north on Sheridan). (Actually, I notice that in much of the city people don't slow down in school zones or stop for pedestrians to cross at cross walks- it seems like the city could make a tidy sum from ticketing people for these offenses...) I'm sure the kids and parents of Fulton would also appreciate it if you slow down... thanks!
