Pancakes in the PM to Benefit EECM!
Hello fellow HPers. East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM) in East Liberty is a great organization that works to fight poverty by providing individuals with the resources, skills, and knowledge to move from poverty to self-sufficiency. We have a food pantry for those who are hungry, a homeless shelter to help those without a place to call their own, and a children and youth program that helps break the cycle of poverty early by promoting education and healthy life choices. On Thursday, March 5, Pamela's Diner in the Strip District will host the 7th annual Pancakes in the PM to benefit our Hunger Services. We serve about 500 people a month in the food pantry, 125 people a day through our community lunch, and deliver meals to 50 homebound seniors on a daily basis. Pamela's donates everything - so every dollar of your ticket price goes to our hunger programs! (Delicious food and great philanthropists...what great community members!) For your ticket, you'll get all-you-can-eat-pancakes and other breakfast fixin's (there's ham and potatoes for those who are gluten-free!) along with a Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar! Bring the family down to the Strip District for a great fundraiser and delicious pancakes.
