Wow! I am so impressed. 54 responses to my early bird "problem." The solutions are in order of importance: 1. Learn to live with it, 2. You are so lucky to have each morning start with a song, 3. Will be gone when the mating season is over, and you'll miss him, 4. Buy a motion detection camera to capture a pix that we can properly identify, 5. It is probably a Carolina Wren who nest close to the ground so move to a higher floor, 6. Buy a scarecrow, 7. Hire my son to come over every morning at 5:30 and shout, "Shooo", 8. The Carolina Wren is a protected species so you could be arrested for disturbing them, 9. What's the problem with getting up at 5:30, you have no where to go, 10. Are you interested in buying my bird feeder? What can I say? I am truly touched by the community response to my sleep depravation mental welfare. The best link was to an app, furthering the myth that everything can be fixed with an app. https://carnegiemnh.org/press/carnegie-museums-creates-bird-alarm-clock/ Best to all, stay safe and enjoy my morning ersatz misery.
