[Highland Park] The Media and Your Child: April 19
The Media and Your Child April 19, 6:30 pm Waldorf School of Pittsburgh Today's children are growing up in a society where the prevalence of televisions, videos, and computers is an accepted part of life. Yet researchers have found children's television watching to be linked to such health concerns as higher rates of obesity and higher blood pressure. To kickoff TV Turnoff Week, the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh welcomes Lydia Roberson to explore this topic in greater depth and discuss alternatives for families who would like to reduce their viewing time. Begun in 1994, TV Turnoff Week encourages all people to use electronic screened media responsibly and then have more time for a healthier life and more community participation. The Waldorf School of Pittsburgh is located at: 201 S. Winebiddle St. Pittsburgh, PA 15224 (412) 441-5792 http://www.waldorfpittsburgh.org
