I notice the constant police sirens for the past couple of months, along with constant helicopters over the neighborhood, and on days with no protests (never mind what purpose helicopter surveillance serves at protests). I can't hold zoom class, or zoom calls, outside, I can't even carry on a normal conversation with my family. These aren't ambulances. We don't have a meteoric rise in Covid emergency room cases. Literally there would have to be constant criminal emergencies happening to merit this level of audio disturbance, which is beyond noise pollution and has become torment. The sirens sometimes come on suddenly and for 5 seconds then stop. Throughout the whole evening. What is even going on?? I wish we could move. I love this neighborhood, but this is ridiculous. Joy
