[Highland Park] Tree Planting 11/6-Volunteers still needed!
Dear Neighbors The TreeVitalize tree planting on Stanton and Sheridan Avenue is rapidly approaching and we still need volunteers to help out. If you can't plant, perhaps you can bake a some cookies or make a $5 or $10 donation to feed the hardworking volunteers or help with kids activities. RSVP to this email if you can help with one or more of these. When: Saturday, 11/6 from 9 am to noon (rain or shine) Where: Corner of Stanton and Heberton (in front of Dilworth) Who: Everyone is welcome. There will be activities for young children misc: There will coffee and a snack in the morning and Pizza for lunch Thank You, Nancy Arnold Highland Park Tree Tender JUST SAY NO TO CYPRESS MULCH Bald Cypress grows mainly southern swamps. It does not regenerate rapidly and is vital to the swamp ecosystem. It is a waste of a good and magnificent tree to grind it up and throw it on your garden.
