While she did not use the Uber app, she did enter the vehicle and offer the driver $10.00 to take her home. According to the victim, the driver, later identified as *Richard Lomotey, 36, of Monaca,* locked the car doors and began touching the victim, while asking about her marital status. The victim unlocked the car doors and attempted to exit the vehicle, but Lomotey re-locked the doors and the two began to tussle, tearing the victim's clothing in the process. The victim was finally able to unlock the doors and jump out of the vehicle while it was still moving. The victim sustained minor injuries in the process. Later that evening, the victim learned that Lomotey did the same thing two two other women. While investigating this incident, officers learned that Lomotey was, in fact, arrested that same night by Zone 4 officers. He was charged with Kidnapping, Unlawful Restraint, and Harassment, as a result of that incident. Lomotey was released from jail on bond on the first incident but was arrested again on 5/20 on this incident. (92999) *5/12/19 Theft from Vehicle - 7100 block Mt. Vernon Street, 6:30 PM. *Victim parked her car and went inside for dinner. When she returned a short time later, her rear passenger door was open. Victim found a used hypodermic needle in the door handle. A phone charger was taken. (90425) *5/13/19 Kidnapping (Domestic) - 1000 block Brushton Avenue, 8:30 PM.* A 26 year-old female victim reported that her ex-boyfriend, *Derrick Eggleton, 25,* broke into her apartment while she was in the shower. The victim's children, ages 1, 2, and 7 were home at the time. Eggleton threw the victim onto her bed and began choking her, then demanded to know the code to unlock her phone. Eggleton then dragged the victim outside to his vehicle and forcefully shoved her into the SUV. Eggleton drove the victim to Penn Hills, punching her in the face and threatening to kill her as they drove. The victim eventually jumped out of the car and ran to a nearby home where she called 911. Eggleton fled the scene. Officers have obtained an arrest warrant for Derrick Eggleton, charging him with Kidnapping, Burglary, Unlawful Restraint, Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, Strangulation, and Reckless Endangering Another Person. (91245) *5/14/19 Burglary - 2200 block Wilner Drive, 2:00 AM.* Officers responded to a report of a burglary-in-progress and learned that the homeowner was hiding in a bedroom with her children after hearing glass breaking downstairs. Officers arrived and peered through the broken rear window, at which point they observed a male in the living room rummaging through a backpack. Officers established a perimeter and as they began knocking at the front door, the male fled through the back door where a Taser was used to subdue him. He was taken into custody and identified as a *juvenile male, 14, of East Hills.* The juvenile was medically cleared then taken to Shuman Center. (91362) *5/16/19 Theft from Vehicle - 7200 block Race Street. *Victim reported that someone shattered the front passenger window of her vehicle with a brick overnight. Her white HP laptop was stolen. (92992) *5/16/19 Overdose - 7300 block Kelly Street, 4:41 PM.* Officers responded to a report of a male not breathing and arrived to find 17 Engine on scene, administering Narcan. The male was revived and transported to UPMC Shadyside for treatment. (93285) *Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington* *5/14/19 Theft from Vehicle - 6100 block Carver Street. *An iPhone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. (92264) *5/16/19 Theft from Vehicle - 6100 block Carver Street, 5:30 AM. *Victim reported hearing her car alarm go off at 5:30 AM at which point she looked out her window and saw two men wearing all black, rifling through her vehicle. The males fled on foot. The victim went outside to inspect her vehicle and noticed that a wallet had been stolen from her car. (92959) *5/18/19 Theft from Vehicle - 6400 block Deary Street. *Victim reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle overnight and stole clothing, loose change, and her vehicle registration. (95063) *5/19/19 Theft from Vehicle - 6400 block Navarro Street.* Victim indicated that her neighbor saw someone rummaging through her vehicle around 6:00 AM but did not notify her until 10:00 AM. Nothing appeared to be missing. No signs of forced entry. (95479) *Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship* *5/13/19 Theft from Vehicle - 200 block Gross Street, 12:35 AM. *Victim reported seeing a bicycle leaning against a tree in front of his property. When he went outside to investigate further, he saw the interior light on inside his vehicle, which was parked in his garage. The victim then saw a black male, 40-50 years old, wearing black pants, a black sweatshirt, and a silver vest, in his garage. When confronted, the male fled. (90587) *5/14/19 Theft from Vehicle - N. Fairmount Street & Penn Avenue. *Victim reported that someone shattered her window and stole her wallet, credit cards, and work ID. (91935) *5/15/19 Theft from Vehicle - 400 block S. Atlantic Avenue. *Victim's wallet and credit card were stolen from her vehicle overnight. Several attempts were made to use her credit card overnight. (92476) *5/16/19 Burglary - 5104 Liberty Avenue (Alexander's Restaurant). *Unknown suspect(s) entered the restaurant and attempted to enter the cash register and poker machine, as pry marks were noted on both. It does not appear that entry was made and nothing appeared to be missing. (93051) *East Liberty / Highland Park* *5/14/19 Burglary / Kidnapping (Domestic) - 300 block Enright Court, 12:27 AM. *An 18 year-old female victim reported that her ex-girlfriend, *Chantel Burris, 19, of Homewood, *approached her as she was walking home from work. Burris asked the victim if she could use her bathroom. The victim obliged but once Burris finished and was about to leave the residence, she asked the victim to come with her. The victim refused and Burris became violent, striking the victim in the head and forcing the victim into her car. The victim was able to escape from the vehicle and ran back to into her house, at which point Burris followed her and forced her way into the house, continuing to threaten the victim. Burris eventually fled the scene in her blue Nissan Altima. The victim suffered head, neck, and chest pain. Officers will obtain an arrest warrant for Burris. (91299) *5/16/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5600 block Broad Street.* Victim reported that someone stole her phone charger from her unlocked car between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. (92969) *5/16/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5600 block Broad Street.* Victim reported that someone stole $50.00 cash from her unlocked car between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. (92955) *5/15/19 Stolen Vehicle - 6000 block Stanton Avenue.* Victim reported that her 2014 maroon Dodge Caravan (PA plate GSF-0778) was stolen sometime between 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM. Victims reported that they always lock their car but it is possible that their young child may have accidentally unlocked it prior to it being stolen. (92295) *5/19/19 Stolen Vehicle - 700 block N. St. Clair Street.* Victim reported that his Honda HR-V was stolen while parked in front of his garage overnight. Victim believes he may have dropped his spare key to the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered later in the day in the 100 block of Mayflower Street. (95455) *5/19/19 Theft from Vehicle - 700 block N. St. Clair Street.* Victim reported that someone entered her vehicle overnight and stole her wallet containing several credit cards and gifts cards. Victim believes she may have left her vehicle unlocked by accident. (95442) *Morningside / Stanton Heights / Waterworks* *5/15/19 Theft from Vehicle - 900 block Chislett Street. *Victim reported the someone entered her unlocked vehicle overnight and stole her wallet, phone charger, and sunglass case. (92621) *5/16/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5100 block Rosecrest Drive.* Victims reported that someone entered their unlocked vehicle and rifled through it. Nothing appeared to be missing. (93355) *5/17/19 Stolen Vehicle - 6900 block Standish Street. *An officer was sent to the 500 block of Cora Street in Homewood for a vehicle illegally parked on someone's property. While in route, a call came over the radio for a victim who wanted to report his vehicle stolen. Officers soon learned that this was the same vehicle and recovered it for the owner. (93823) *5/17/19 Burglary - 1100 block Woodbine Street.* Victim reported that someone entered her residence between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM and stole (2) flat screen TV's. No signs of forced entry. (94018) *5/19/19 Theft from Vehicle - 1100 block Stanton Terrace. *Victim reported that someone stole a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses from his vehicle overnight. No signs of forced entry into the vehicle. (95497) Crimes listed in the above report include: Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Burglary, Arson, Stolen Cars, Thefts from Vehicle, and Overdoses. *We do not list information for car accidents, retail theft, harassment, minor assaults, etc. * *This Week's Notable Arrests* *5/15/19 4:04 PM 7200 block Idlewild Street Arrestee: Lynn Hargraves, 65, of Homewood Summary: *Zone 5 plainclothes officers were investigating a home in the 7200 blok of Idlewild Street after receiving community complaints of drug dealing from the residence. Officers were able to secure a search warrant for the residence and recovered a significant quantity of crack cocaine, heroin, and possible fentanyl. Lynn Hargraves was arrested. Officers obtained an additional search warrant for a safe deposit box belonging to Hargraves, where they recovered stacks of cash, rubber-banded together. The currency was sent for forensic testing. (92343) *5/15/19 7:28 PM Mt. Carmel Road & Verona Road (Penn Hills) Arrestee: Jammal James Grisham, 21, of North Versailles Summary: *An off-duty police officer spotted a tan Dodge Caravan in Penn Hills, that he believed was used in a shooting in the city. The officer called in the license plate and learned that the vehicle was reported stolen. Penn Hills officers attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle fled. Zone 5 officers picked-up the pursuit and trailed the vehicle, where the driver eventually fled back into Penn Hills. The driver struck a Penn Hills police unit and a civilian vehicle, and was taken into custody after attempting to flee on foot. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries. He was identified as Jammal James Grisham, 21, of Penn Hills.
