AARP wants to hear from YOU! What makes Pittsburgh a great place to live? What could be improved to make our city a more livable community for adults 50+ and their families? AARP is hosting Livable Communities Listening Sessions which invite 50+ Pittsburghers and their families to share input on how the key areas of affordable housing, transportation, and access to public spaces can be improved to make Pittsburgh more livable for people of all ages. Please come ready to share your thoughts! Key themes from these conversations will be compiled for sharing with community stakeholders. The listening sessions will be held virtually over Zoom and community members must register in advance to join. A link will be sent 24 hours prior to all who are registered. The first session was in August. The final session is this week. - *Wednesday, September 7th, 6-7:15pm – District 8 Community Listening Session:* This session will feature a kick-off by District 8 City Councilmember Erika Strassburger. Those who live, work, and play in the district’s neighborhoods which includes parts of Oakland, Point Breeze, Shadyside, and Squirrel Hill are welcome to participate.
