Hello All This morning there was an article about high levels of lead at the Farmhouse playground. There was an email posting sent out over the Summer about this also. The Highland Park Community Council is a community organization, consisting of volunteers from the neighborhood. As the Secretary of the HPCC, I have little knowledge of lead paint, and have little time to take this issue on. But I can say that the HPCC will support and assist with getting this issue resolved. Rather than many folks trying to contact the Health Dept, City Parks, etc, I think it would be better for someone to try and take charge of this. I can direct any emails that come in to that person (or persons). This is an issue that was discovered at the beginning of the Summer, and there has been little notification about it to the community. If you are interested in working on this issue, send me an email or give me a call. I will try to get all of the interested folks together, and can provide some contact info for elected officials.
