Designated a Class 1 Arboretum, this well-tended 5.5-acre estate (once belonging to industrialist Henry Clay Frick) boasts nearly 60 species of remarkable trees. *Highlights You'll Experience:* • Majestic dawn redwoods and native deciduous cypresses • Kentucky coffee trees with the largest leaves in our region • A rare 100-year-old American elm that survived Dutch elm disease • "Pleached" hornbeams forming distinctive sculptural "living cubes" • An ever-expanding grove of native pawpaw trees • Beautiful oaks, hemlocks, beeches, and many more *Tour Details:* • *Date/Time:* Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM • *Meeting Point:* Outside the Grable Visitor Center • *Duration:* Approximately 1 hour • *Terrain:* Easy walking on level pathways with plenty of shade • *What to Bring:* Hat, water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes • *Tour Guide:* Jill Traub, HPGC charter member and tree enthusiast *After the Tour:* Extend your visit by exploring the Frick's other attractions. While the art museum is closed for fire alarm repairs until August, the car and carriage museum will be open and admission is free, as is the Frick Museum Store. Lunch or refreshments are available after the tour at The Café (reservations suggested). *Parking:* Available in the dedicated lot on the grounds or along Reynolds Street.
