A Reminder, as the Wednesday RSVP deadline is approaching: Five Talents Reception: Friday, January 18, 2008, at St. Andrew's Church, Highland Park: For the past year St. Andrew's Church, in Pittsburgh's Highland Park neighborhood, has had an exceptionally active "Five Talents" Support Group--a gathering of a couple of dozen individuals from the congregation and beyond who make an annual pledge of personal support for Five Talents International, an organization whose mission is to fight poverty, create jobs and transform lives by empowering the poor in developing countries using innovative savings and microcredit programs, business training, and spiritual development. Our "Five Talents Circle" has focused on a specific project and community in Lima, Peru, though the Five Talents organization supports programs all around the world.
