[Highland Park] Free moving boxes & buffet cabinet
Howdy Neighbors! We just moved into the neighborhood this week, and as we're unpacking, we are accumulating a stack of collapsed but very nice moving boxes. They are the ones used by the company that packed and moved us. Feel free to take some (or all) from my front porch at 1315 King Avenue if you need them. I'm putting more out there every day. Any that don't get taken will be recycled, but I thought that it would be greener to get another use out of them first! I have several wardrobe boxes -- ones with metal racks inside for moving clothes on hangers. I have not collapsed them, and they are in my house. If you are interested in the wardrobe boxes, please call me on my cell at 443-802-1988. My e-mail access is limited at the moment. Lastly, I have a buffet cabinet that won't fit in my dining room. I thought it was called a highboy, but after looking at ones on Ebay, I think that it is a lowboy. It has two compartments with doors and three long flat drawers. It is not in stellar shape -- there is a scratch along the top, which I have covered before with a runner, and a leg was damaged and repaired the last time we moved. It's sort of a dark pine color. But it is free, and it is yours if you want it and can haul it off of my front porch. Call me if you have any questions (443-802-1988). But please don't take the yellow deacon's bench on the front porch. That stays! Thank you! Julie Gammill Gibson --------------------------------- Ready for the edge of your seat? Thank you for the many responses to my note about moving boxes. I have met so many nice folks because of my boxes, and universally they each said, "I love this neighborhood." What a great confirmation of our decision to live in Highland Park! The wardrobe boxes went fast, and the rest of the moving boxes are now all spoken for -- but the buffet cabinet is still available if anyone wants a free one!
