Third Presbyterian Church in Shadyside is seeking a part-time hospitality assistant to work during the program year every other Sunday from the second week in September until the second week in June. Regular hours: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm with additional opportunities to work special events. Position is paid per diem. Job Description: The hospitality assistant will be responsible for the regular Sunday kitchen activities. He/she will set up and make/serve coffee and continental breakfast for morning educational forums. Individual will also set up the post-worship coffee hour. Coffee hour set up is simple and refined and a creative eye is welcome as a part of the set up process. Individual will also clean up the spaces used on Sunday mornings for food and coffee and should be comfortable running industrial kitchen appliances after instruction. He/she will be responsible for inventory and organization of kitchen items and supplies (coffee, tea, etc.) and light cleaning. Qualified applicant will be self-motivated to complete work individually as well as able to work in a flexible team setting. A positive attitude and willingness to interact with friends and members of the congregation is a must.
