Hi all- I work for an organization called Zero Six Eight, which develops the entrepreneurial and business interests of men and women with a criminal background. We believe that personal or professional failure is never the final word in someone’s story and have written that mantra into the fabric of our company. To help promote this idea we are hosting a TED-esque event called Failure:Lab. Failure:Lab consists of highly successful people telling the audience a story of both personal and professional failure. However they will not include the lesson that they learned from that failure-the crowd will. After each brief story, the crowd will have a short time to either tweet or journal about the lessons that they took from the story. Those lessons will be collected and distributed to the audience after the evening is over. The runs June 26 from 7-9 p.m. at the Kelly Strayhorn Theatre. There will be an after party for further discussion of the lessons learned at the event.
