Dear Highland Park Neighbors, Since our fall appeal, hundreds of community stakeholders have helped us craft our new 2012-14 strategic plan <http://UnionProject.org/strategicplan> in order to increase and improve our community programming including: - Gave space for SOUNDWAVES Student Steelband Ensemble for local teenagers - Welcomed Arthritus Foundation Excercise Program for seniors - Hosted Pittsburgh Show-Offs (juggling and circus variety arts skills sharing) for all ages - Added Hip-Hop/Street Jazz Dance Classes to our community class schedule - Expanded Ceramics Outreach Programs including Waldorf School of Pittsburgh, Propel Northside, Reading is Fundamental (RIF), Dilworth Elementary, Fulton Academy, Montessorri School of Pittsburgh and Linden Academy - Underwrote space to support 20 ceramic artists improve their craft - Gave 25 ceramics scholarships to students of all ages - Supported three new entreprenuers to Union Project including the Girls Coalition of S. Western PA, InRegion Sustainable Design Firm, and Cafe Olah Appetit - Offered affordable rental space to thousands of community members to connect, create and celebrate community ...All thanks to the support of our community!
