Dear Neighbors, The Pittsburgh School for the Choral Arts will be offering Musikgarten classes starting on January 24, 2013. The Pittsburgh School for the Choral Arts is the umbrella organization for the Oakland Girls Choir, and is a community leader in offering comprehensive musical and choral education. "Musikgarten is the leader in early childhood music education. They offer a complete curriculum that helps infants, toddlers, and children develop a deep love of music and the ability to express it. The classes come with CDs of the songs sung in class, age-appropriate instruments and parent guidebooks. The home materials reinforce lessons and involve the whole family." All classes are parent&child or caretaker&child classes and last 15 weeks per semester. Family Music is for 12 month-olds through 3 1/2 year-olds, on Thursdays or Saturdays at 10 AM. Cycle of Seasons is for 3 1/2 years through 6 years, and is on Thursdays or Saturday at 10:45 AM. All classes take place at Sixth Presbyterian Church (1688 Murray Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217).
