Hello Neighbors, The market will be open this Saturday as usual. Since Christmas falls on a Saturday this year, we will be closed on the 25th. But will be open on Friday December 24th- Christmas Eve. So please remember to stop by the market next Friday for all your Christmas needs. I encourage you to think of the market as a great source for holiday gifts for friends and family members. These days people like to get things that are locally grown and locally made. It sure beats giving gifts that are made in China or some other far off land. Here are a few ideas of items that you can use for gifts: California Connection- a bottle of EV olive oil, or bag of organic apricots Earthen Springs Naturals- a bottle of natural soap or moisturizer Greenawalt Farm- a dozed eggs, or a jar of locally made mustard Kennedy Family Meat Stand- smoked pheasants (which are shrink wrapped) Kew Park Coffee Bar- a pound of roasted beans Kistaco Farm- A half gallon of cider, a jar of local honey Mrs. Jones- A jar of multi-purpose sauce Greek Gourmet- a container of hummus Rebecca Plum- a baked zucchini bread Riverview Dairy- A piece of goat cheese or goat milk fudge Zang Greenhouse- Christmas flowers So grab a reusable gift bag and come on down to the market to fill it up. Also, please remember to call in meat orders to Val Kennedy at the Kennedy Family Meat Stand as soon as possible. They take phone orders from 9am-9pm Monday - Thursday, and 9am-6pm on Fridays.
