Hello Neighbors! Today around 5pm my husband and I were walking on Highland Ave. from the park. Just past Elgin Street we found a box that had been torn open, contents removed (except for packing materials) and discarded. I picked it up to take it to a trash can and then I noticed the address was 5910 Elgin. I think it's a good possibility that this package was stolen from a porch and unpacked around the corner from the house, and the box tossed by the thief. We knocked but got no answer at the address, but I left the box on the porch (thinking that if the owner didn't open that box and it was a theft that perhaps finger prints could be obtained. I was wearing gloves). I mentioned all this to a nice neighbor man who said he would get the other, larger package from that porch and keep it safe. (I believe he was from 5904 Elgin...drove a BMW.)
