Dear Neighbors, I was interested in language classes and know that Atlas Dreams Languages LLC has advertised on the Highland Park website. I know that one of our other neighbors has recommended Zineb Outnouna, (CEO/Pres) several times when she has advertised. Since I am also and educator, I decided to do some research before I decided to contact her. As it turns out, she has no accreditation or credentials to be teaching Arabic or French. She has no teaching degree nor does she have a degree in either of these languages. After digging a little, I discovered she has a degree in tourism. I actually know one of her students and ask about the lesson plan and curriculum. To my dismay, there is none, she provides no syllabus, uses no textbook, no work books, and provides no reference material. This begs the question, how do you even know what you are learning is accurate. I speak several languages but I know I am not qualified to to move to a country that speaks those languages and teach them. I also discovered that this is a very small company and she list herself as CEO, this would indicate that she answers to a board of directors, this is not the case. I leave the decision up to you, but I have a problem with anyone who misrepresent themselves, it speaks to their integrity. Please, if you are going to choose a teacher or tutor for language classes or any other subject, take the time to do your research, make sure you hire a qualified accredited teacher/tutor. If this is for children or yourself, you owe it to them and yourself to make sure that your money is being spent on the right teacher. We are a lucky community to have this website so we can share this kind of information. I have been advised by my neighbors before through this website and I am grateful. Thank you.
