Dear Neighbors, We would like to alert you of a potential danger on the East sidewalk of the 1000 North Euclid Avenue block, by the East corner of Hampton. As you can see by the pictures taken today without zoom. There are numerous branches of different sizes that are broken and hanging upside down on the two very old sick and decaying sycamore city trees along our property. Some small ones will just scratch you as happens to us regularly while gardening but others we feel could maim or kill you as their diameter seems to be about 2- 3 inches. For well over a year we have repeatedly called 311 to no avail. We also contacted Deb Gross' office and was told that they will contact the city and forward the pictures but that was at least a month ago and nothing... We can't imagine the pandemic can be invoked as we started calling before it started. The pandemic seemingly does not impede the city workers or their contractors since they are busy making roundabouts on North Euclid anyway. We do not know what to do at this point. We do not know if we can block the sidewalk legally.... We do not want anyone to be hurt. So please do not use the curvy new sidewalk by the tall hedge on the East side of N. Euclid Avenue as it is really dangerously unsafe and please call the city about those unsafe trees.
