[Highland Park] United Way Day of Caring - East Liberty Clean Sweep - September 23, 2006 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
We are looking for Highland Park volunteers who are interested in participating in a community building beautification project that will focus on cleaning up East Liberty within Penn Circle - on September 23, 2006 from 10 am to 2 pm. The activity will begin at 10:00 am at the PSC Family Center - located across from Whole Foods and AAA in East Liberty. A safety training will be given by Home Depot employees prior to the start of the activity. Volunteers will be provided with gloves and garbage bags and work in teams of 10. The day will end with a shared lunch and information about how you can get more involved with East End community-friendly organizations. (Girl Scouts, Wilkinsburg and All Star Cheerleaders, Carnegie Mellon University Service Learning members, Parental Stress Center, Salvation Army, East Liberty Quarter Chamber of Commerce, East Liberty Family Health Care Center, Sojourner House) If you are interested in participating - please respond to this email.
