Learn to Sculpt with Clay!
Join our newest Teaching Artist, Mac McCusker, for a 4-week class <https://unionproject.org/event/beginner-intermediate-ceramics-sculpture/> exploring figurative and abstract sculpture in clay. EVENT DATES AND TIMES: November 1 (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm) - November 22 EVENT COST: $150.00 4 Mondays, November 1 – 22 Explore non-functional ceramics and ways to use clay to create sculptures in this 4-week class. You will create freestanding, handmade pieces using sculptural techniques, including coil building, slab construction, and building solid forms to hollow out. Your teacher will demonstrate basic carving and work with sculpture tools. You will consider volume, weight, color, form, balance, and texture when creating figurative or abstract pieces. This class <https://unionproject.org/event/beginner-intermediate-ceramics-sculpture/> is open to students 18 or older and those at all clay skill levels. Union Project is committed to being accessible to all. The building is wheelchair accessible via the side door on Stanton Avenue, and an accessible parking spot is located just outside that door.
