Second call for volunteers Hi everyone, Can you volunteer as a neighborhood ambassador during the yard sale on Sunday, June 4th? The entire neighborhood is on display as people walk along our tree-lined streets looking for bargains and treasures. You can help them by greeting them with a smile, handing out maps with yard sale listings, telling them about our mobile website, and answering any questions they might have. The visitors are always appreciative of the help and it is an occasion to people-watch. It is also an opportunity for children and their parents to perform a community service, demonstrating how fulfilling it can be to help others. The Highland Park Community Council provides a signed certificate of appreciation for any child or student who volunteers for the event. Posts are staffed in two-hour shifts between 9am and 1pm. There are four posts: Highland & Stanton, Negley & Hampton, Highland & Bryant, and Bunkerhill & North Saint Clair.
