I have a fully functional 10+ year old food processor. As you can see, I never used the slicing blade. I think there are at least a few years left in this. Fully functional. Parts are sharp! Be careful when you take it out of the box. Just to cover myself in today's litigious world, once you take it, you are fully responsible and liable for its use and function.
