[Highland Park] Tues. 4/28: Mayoral Candidate Community Safety Forum
Dear Neighbors, You are invited to a non-partisan Mayoral Candidates Community Safety Forum next Tuesday evening, April 28th, at 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Kingsley Association, 6435 Frankstown Avenue at East Liberty Boulevard. All three primary candidates have been invited, as well as Independent Dok Harris, who is running in the general election in November. The entire focus of this forum is on community safety. Eight local organizations have worked cooperatively to organize this forum, including: the League of Women Voters of Greater Pittsburgh, the Center for Victims of Violence & Crime, B-PEP/Coalition Against Violence, the PA League of Young Voters, the Women and Girls' Foundation, CeaseFirePA, National Council for Jewish Women Pittsburgh Chapter, and the Chatham University Center for the Study of Conflict. The groups do not support any specific candidate, and they will ask questions of concern to their consitutents and the community at large. Questions also will be taken from the audience. Parking is limited, so please carpool and arrive early. There is street parking all around the Kingsley Association building. If you would like me to email you a flier for distribution and/or printing, please send me an email. We look forward to seeing you at this important community event!
