[Highland Park] Eastside Neighborhood Employment Center needs your help!
Dear Highland Park Neighbors, Your East End neighbors need your support. Too many of our Citys residents are unemployed. High unemployment leads to increases in crime. With your help, we can put our citizens to work and keep our East End neighborhoods safe. Here at the Eastside Neighborhood Employment Center (ENEC), we work hard to improve economic and social conditions for Allegheny County residents. We provide workforce development, job readiness training, career counseling and job placements to over 1,000 Pittsburghers every year. All of these things cost money, and thats where you come in. The ENEC is in dire need of operational support. Your generous contribution will enable us to provide the training and encouragement necessary to build a strong workforce for the region. With your help, we can provide the residents of the East End with valuable employment skills and opportunities. More than that, we can instill in our residents, especially the young, a desire not merely for employment, but for advancement. Working with community organizations and employers, the ENEC strives to build a stronger local workforce, which benefits everyone. Indeed, we strive to create opportunities, develop job skills, increase employment, stimulate the economy, lower neighborhood crime and revitalize the City from within. With a wealth of resources and potential in our own backyard, the regions economy should never rely on outsourcing. Please help us put our neighbors to work for us. Please take a moment and review the below sheet of donor options. The ENEC is a non-profit charitable organization, and any donation you make is tax-deductible. We are happy to accept your donation by cash or check. We greatly value and appreciate your support in whatever capacity. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 412-362-8580. I would be more than happy to speak with you. Please help all of us at the ENEC improve the quality of life for East End residents. It cannot happen without you!
