FREE MLK Day Celebration January 21st @ 6pm At the Union Project, 801 N. Negley Ave, 15206 This Monday, January 21st at 6pm, Union Project and the Open Door welcome the Pittsburgh community for an evening of motivational entertainment, held to honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his vision of connecting communities, cultures and individuals. co-sponsored by the East Liberty Presbyterian Church, the evening will include a free community dinner beginning at 6pm, step performances, Birdie Nichols and Glorious Rebirth Gospel Choir, readings of Dr. King's selected works by local youth and a featured speaker, Rev. Dr. Johnnie Monroe. Doors will open at 6pm, January 21st for a free community dinner provided by the Union Project¹s Eat UP Café. Beginning at 7pm, the evening¹s motivational programming will open with performances by renowned Birdie Nichols and Glorious Rebirth Gospel Choir, Anointed Steps of Faith Step Team from University of Pittsburgh, vocal students from CAPA High School and youth from outreach programs at WYEP studios and Ya Momz House. The featured speaker for the evening will be respected community member Rev.
